Manager

Irene manages purchasing, vendor onboarding and contract renewals. She and Serena Koh in Finance jointly own the vendor master — no bank detail changes without both of them signing off, a control introduced after the 2021 near-miss.

Personality

Tough negotiator, warm colleague, keeps a long memory of which suppliers have missed deadlines.

Businesslike with suppliers, chatty internally. Always cites the PO number and the contract reference.
